Arriving by plane at Düsseldorf International Airport
Take bus 721 in the direction HBF Düsseldorf (Central Train Station). Get off at the Haltestelle (stop) ‘Frankenplatz’. Continue walking in the same direction as the bus and take the next street on the right – the Hans-Böckler-Straße.
Arriving by train at Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof (Central Station)
Take the U-Bahn (underground train) U78 or U79 in the direction ‘Duisburg, LTU Arena, Messe-Nord’. Get off at the Haltestelle (stop) ‘Kennedydamm’. Turn right along the main road – Kennedydamm – and follow the pavement parallel to the Kennedydamm until you reach the Hans-Böckler-Straße and turn right. The Hans-Böckler-Stiftung is on the left in the DGB building.
Information for car drivers
Coming on the A44 (from Krefeld/Mönchengladbach) take the B8 at exit 30, signposted D-Stockum, in the direction of the Zentrum (city centre), at the feeder road Kennedydamm (bridge) keep right and take the left fork Roßstraße. Hans-Böckler-Straße is the third street on the right.
Coming on the A52 (from the Ruhr area) you have the ARAG building in front of you, turn right along the Münsterstraße and then right along the Roßstraße. The Hans-Böckler- Straße is fifth on the left.
Coming on the A52 (from Mönchengladbach) take the B7 and after crossing the Theodor Heuss Bridge over the River Rhine take the first exit right and get in lane on the right to take the third exit right onto Roßstraße.
Coming on the A59 or A57 (from Köln), or the A46 (from Wuppertal) take the exit signposted Neuss/Hafen Düsseldorf B1. Follow the signs for Düsseldorf.
Please not that there is no parking available at the Hans-Böckler-Stiftung and finding parking in the surrounding area can be difficult.
